Know Which Indian IT Vendor Does What for Apple

BANGALORE: Mum’s the word for Apple when it comes to disclosing its future endeavors. And this secrecy gets a notch higher when the company deals with Indian IT vendors. Even the vendors remain discreet as they abide by disclosure agreements. Moreover, the Indian vendors don’t want to suffer the fall by losing their most dear client, reports ET.

However, somehow and someone has split the beans. TOI tried to dig into the trade secret through the research firms and industry sources to grasp the information on who’s doing what for this tech giant.

The elementary Indian vendors working for Apple include Tech Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Exilant who collectively offer their services to the iPhone maker.

The customer care and supply chain is looked over by Infosys along with operating the SAP modules in the warehouse management and material management. Infosys also deals with developing application and their upkeep related to customer care. The customer care applications take into account the Apple Certified Server Engineer (ACSE), certification that solve problems related to the server and troubleshoot issues while installing servers.

Customer relationship management is watched over by the Indian tech biggie TCS which also focuses on porting the web applications from Apple to iOS compatible phones. Furthermore, Wipro takes care of the master data management of Apple’s supply chain along with offering analytics for marketing in retail, web and database.

Finance and life-cycle management are taken care of by Tech Mahindra.

These companies have denied commenting or revealing anything on the matter.

Meanwhile, Peter Bendor Samuel, CEO, Everest Group, U.S., is of the view that India may pull off to rake in dollars with its relationship with Apple.
