Bangalore: Whenever someone speaks about the most preferred business destinations in India, names like Mumbai, Delhi pops up.

However, many of you will be surprised to know that none of these hot shot cities made among the top contenders that fetched maximum registration of new companies.

The economy of Haryana relies on manufacturing, retailing and information outsourcing. The state already is the home to few of the big manufacturing companies like Hindustan National Glass, Maruti Udyog, Escorts, Hero, Alcatel, Sony, Whirlpool India, Bharti Telecom, Liberty Shoes and HMT.

The state witnessed 2,811 registrations of new private companies which has an authorized capital of 1,177.55 crore. In addition, there are more than 80,000 small-scale industrial units in the state which cumulatively bring in a substantial income for the state and its people.
