Four Indians Make their Way into Forbes List of America's Top Wealth Advisors


BENGALURU: Forbes, the American business magazine recently released the list of America's top wealth advisors which features 200 members including four Indians breaking into the list. The top positions have been effectively occupied by advisors associated with the services offered by industry leaders such as Merrill Lynch, UBS and Morgan Stanley. These enlisted advisors collectively manage around 675 billion USD. Apart from serving several family fortunes and small business owners, they also manage to support high profile clients from the Wall Street and Silicon Valley, reports Forbes.

"Most great fortunes have their roots in hard work, brilliant business decisions or savvy investing somewhere along the way (more often than not all three), But once the money is made, growing, preserving and passing it on to the next generation becomes paramount," says Forbes.

Raj Sharma, Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group

Raj Sharma, managing director at the Merrill Lynch Private Banking and Investment Group holds the 17th place in the Forbes list. Apart from Forbes, he was also featured in the Barron’s list of America’s Top 100 Advisors for eleven years back-to-back from 2004 to 2014 and as the number one Advisor in Massachusetts for five subsequent years (2009 – 2013). Currently, Raj is a member of TIE, a global firm that supports the formation of entrepreneurship and businesses. Furthermore, he is also a trustee and board member of the American India Foundation focused on promoting economic and social change in India.
