E-Commerce Firms Gears Up For The Festive Season


BENGALURU: As the festival season is lighting up, business in the country is gearing up. After receiving the overwhelming response from the customers in 2014, E-commerce big players now ready to deliver their master strokes to attract more number of customers this festive season.

As per the report of the TOI, E-commerce giants like Flipkart, Snapdeal And Amazon are all set to surprise their customers with big sale days. This was first started by the Flipkart last year, but the response crossed the expected verge, hence the company is criticized for failing to handle it. Henceforth all other E-commerce companies started coming up with similar big sale days.

According to the industry experts and the officials of the various E-commerce Startups. Sales are expected to go up by at least 30 to 40 percent this festival season in startup sectors and most of these these companies are concentrating on to build a comprehensive infrastructure to avoid any possible mess in the peak time of the business.

The investment statistics among the big players is no different, as the Snapdeal is investing 650 crores on its supply chain, likewise mobile wallet big player Paytm is said to be investing more than 500 crores. According to the predictions of the experts, this festive season will have the major share in the overall business of the year. Vipul Parekh, Cofounder of the BigBasket said "It works like a safety valve. We cannot afford to go wrong with the delivery time.That would be the fastest way to lose a loyal customer."
