A Peek Into the World's Most Expensive Skyscrapers

BENGALURU: How does it feel to take a look at a skyscraper in one of the world’s best cities? They are just majestic isn’t it! The world has seen an explosion of skyscrapers, more so in the Middle East and Asian countries that compete with each other to build just another tall building. But are they just another addition to infrastructure or are they much more than concrete structures? Today these skyscrapers define the status of a nation on the global platform. As the buildings grow taller and more extravagant, the cost rises along with them says Emporis—provider of building data and construction projects worldwide.

Buildings aren’t just getting taller they are getting a lot more fancier than ever before, with all the latest technologies, newest materials  and sustainable concepts. Therefore they deserve a much more fascinating name than ‘buildings’ which gave rise to the term ‘Skyscrapers’.

Emporis has listed the world’s most expensive skyscrapers at present:

One World Trade Center, New York— $3.9 Billion:

At $3.9 billion, One World Trade Center in New York City is the most expensive building by far which is now positioned in the erstwhile Twin Towers position. The building has a stairwell dedicated to the firefighters lost in 9/11, now it is exclusively available to firefighters. It is obvious that the New Yorkers want something special in place of Ground Zero to boast their revival after a devastating attack. This new building features numerous safety measures, including refuge areas on each floor, enhanced fire proofing and elevators are located within a central "core" building inside the building. This is however not the tallest in United States.
