San Francisco-based Philz Coffee that joined a small growth equity venture in partnership philz cofeewith angel investors, Summit Partners has secured $15 million. Philz Coffee that has invested in Uber, delivers its own unique blends of coffee and at the same time has a one-on-one special customer service to brew one perfect cup of coffee at a time.

Blue Bottle Café

In early 2014 Kevin Systrom, co-founder of Instagram, Evan Williams, co-founder of Twitter, along with Chris Sacca, a Twitter investor, splurged around $26 million into boutique coffee business chain, the Blue Bottle.  The well-known Blue Bottle café has earned great acclaim for its vow, to only sell fresh coffee that has been less than 48 hours out of the roaster.

Blue Bottle is noted for its exclusive, slow-brew process with the finest sourced beans.

Sightglass Coffee

Oregon-born Brothers Jerad and Justin Morrison, founder’s of Sightglass Coffee, first started working in Blue Bottle before setting out in their own establishment of chic coffeehouse. Jack Dorsey, one of the co-founders of Twitter, saw great potential in the business plan and is now an investor in the fine-tuned Sightglass Coffee.
