Colonel Sanders (Founder, KFC)

Colonel Harland David Sanders is the founder of the Kentucky fried chicken and a very familiar face to one and all. He has gone through many struggles throughout his life before achieving immense popularity. Before finding KFC he worked as a steam engine stoker, an insurance salesman and a filling station operator.

He invented the fried chicken in his roadside restaurant in Corbin during ‘The Great Depression’. Soon he found out the value of his concept and started the first franchise in 1952. Later he became the good will ambassador as well as the symbol for KFC.
