6 Famous Brands That Lost Its Magic

2. Zynga

Zynga, the gaming company was found in 2007, and at one point of time it was worth around $20 billion. They launched one of the most popular social networking games ever that was called FarmVille. It was considered as one of the most popular Facebook games for several months, but as of January 2014, FarmVille is ranked as the 45th most popular Facebook game.

In March 2012, Zynga purchased OMGPOP, a gaming company behind the popular mobile game Draw Something. However, after the purchase a noticeable drop in the game's popularity was seen with daily users dropping from 15 million to 10 million in the first month after the acquisition. The company experienced problems beyond bad investments. Zynga was relied too heavily on Facebook, and as the social network changed, the company couldn't keep up.

3. BlackBerry

BlackBerry phones were considered to be the most popular mobile devices on the market even before the iPhone was announced. They were one of the brands that truly dominated the "cool" factor, with every celebrity owning one.

IPhones and Droids were the two popular lines of phones that helped popularize Google's Android operating system. Hence with the arrival of new revolutionary touchscreen Smartphones Blackberry turned into a stale and antiquated device. Most people, regardless of whether they used their phone for business or pleasure, switched over to the iPhone or the Android-operated Smartphones and BlackBerry seriously lost its momentum.
