5 Lessons Business Leaders Can Learn From Asian Games

BANGALORE: The Asian games recently came to an end completing another successfully held event. It had its ups and downs, some events wrapped with controversies and others with joyful winners taking home rewards for their hard work.

But the biggest lesson that can be drawn is the parallel that it has to a business set up. There are lessons that this mega event can teach business enthusiasts and also give us an understanding the ladder model of a business. So here are some business lessons that Indian business houses can learn, as compiled by Business Insider.

The Manager-Coach Parallel:

Well this is not a surprising point but one that is easily forgotten and at times hard to relate to because, coaches do have a close personal interaction with their trainees but managers not looked upon on a personal level. Nonetheless, there is a similarity with their function and what they do makes this parallel beneficial.

It is the manager’s jobs to be a source of encouragement to their employees like the coaches are to their trainees. Managers can draw a lesson from this thereby improving their interaction with their subordinates.

No Pain No Gain:

This phrase comes attached to every sport that is played and is one that needs to always be remembered. So it is in business as well, if one is not willing to work hard then one cannot expect benefits.

To see a successful career one must be willing to go through lengths to make sure that they reach success. Remember hard work is a personal determination that cannot in any way be enforced upon. So to reap benefits one must first work hard.
