This city with almost 8.6 million inhabitants is one of the largest cities in North America. More the number of inhabitants, congestion in the traffic increases gradually. The city lacks traffic management systems for its metro trains and other modes of transportation.

In Moscow, the average driver loses eight working days a year due to congestion. Journeys mainly during the morning rush hour in the Russian capital take more than twice as long as those during less busy periods. It is the high traffic of the city which has build up large discontentment among the tourist and traffic jams have reduced incoming of tourism largely.
