Godrej Refrigerators: The Godrej group was founded back in 1897 by Ardeshir Godrej and Pirojsha Godrej, operating in numerous sectors like Real Estate, Appliances, consumer products and industrial products, to name a few. The product that has changed the face of India over the years though is the Appliance sector of the company that brought about a revolution with its refrigerators.

It continues to manufacture products that are seen used in Indian homes. It produced its first refrigerator in 1958 and continues to be the leading brand in Indian refrigerator market.

Boroline Cream: The antiseptic perfumed cream is a product made by a Bengali merchant back in 1929 to counter the rise of British goods in India at that time. The maker of this cream was Gourmohan Dutta, who designed it to heal cuts, wounds, cracked lips and skin through the combined ingredients of antiseptic boric acid, sunscreen zinc oxide and emollient lanolin.

The packaging of this cream hasn’t changed and continues to captivate the hearts of Indians as the trusted all purposed cream. Ritupurno Ghosh, late filmmaker wrote the jingle for Boroline and is still a copywriter to this day.

Parle G: A biscuit brand that no Indian child will ever forget is Parle G. It is sold at a very small market price and has been a snack for almost all Indians no matter the status in society. A product that has been in existence since 1929 was manufactured by Parle Products.

Its factories are located in Mumbai, and after independence released an ads campaign to counter the British biscuits sold in India. Today, Parle is the widest biscuit selling brand in the world as per the 2011 reports by Nielsen.
