BANGALORE: India houses one of the largest numbers of rich people in the world. While the richest are known and heard of due to the media attention they get, there are a very few wealthy Indians who prefer staying away from media spotlights and whom most of us have never heard of.

These silent rich individuals own some of the most famous and know products, buildings, businesses and companies that are part of a normal man’s everyday life. Well according to the compilation of Forbes, here is the list of very rich Indians we haven’t heard of.

Ajay kalsi: Founder and CEO of Indus Gas, he is a first generation entrepreneur who has built a company that is recognized worldwide. He has an umbrella of businesses in sectors like oil and gas, footwear and garments, business process outsourcing and commodity trade, to name a few.

He graduated from London school of economics and from Cambridge University and now is part of the ‘World Economic Forum’. As per the 2012 reports by Forbes, he has a net worth of $2.3 billion.

Yusuffali M.A: A local boy from the streets of Kerala, Yusuffali completed his studies in Kerala and Gujarat before joining his uncle’s business in Abu Dhabi. His uncle owned the EMKE group of companies. When Yusuffali went there to learn the trade and help his uncle, he created a huge change in the import and wholesale department of the group.

He later ventured into starting his own line of supermarket business with the name of LULU hypermarket. This market is now setup in the Middle East and is slowly penetrating the Indian market. He has a net worth of $1.6 billion, where his company’s annual turnover is $4.5 billion.
