MINDFLOW Mind Rest

We all like it when something saves time, money and reduce risk in decision-making. MINDFLOW technologies, an on-demand solutions provider for inbound supply chain planning and sourcing optimization hopes to do the same.

The Plano, TX based company helps customers build sourcing decision models for direct and indirect spend categories, using bid information collected through MINDFLOW negotiation tools. It claims that companies can use these decision models to simulate sourcing scenarios and achieve the optimal balance of supplier allocation, item costs and qualitative criteria, resulting in quick and compounding savings.

Founded by Jay Reddy in 1998, MINDFLOW helps companies save time, save money and reduce risk with on-demand; zero-footprint solutions and services for comprehensive spend analysis, sourcing negotiation events, dynamic decision modeling and sourcing optimization.

With the MINDFLOW EZ, they claim that both large and small companies can accelerate inbound supply chain improvements and increase margins with sourcing decision models and category cost models. Also it can be deployed immediately for any simple or complex category, in a wide variety of industries including consumer goods, retail, foodservice, distribution and process. Some of the recent customer wins for MINDFLOW are Subway and BWR.

“We offer a wide variety of category solution in a box, and prove a one month in value engagement to get real value out of the solution,” says Sudy Bharadwaj, Vice President, Marketing, Solutions Delivery and Solutions Consulting (presales) at MINDFLOW.

SpikeSource stacks Open Source
Founded in 2003, SpikeSource aims to accelerate the adoption of open source in the enterprise. It offers integrated, validated, and certified open source stacks with ongoing maintenance and enterprise-class support services.

Based in Redwood City, CA, SpikeSource emerged from stealth mode in 2004 and launched its product SpikeSource Core Stack in 2005 with a range of enterprise support and related services to enable enterprise IT departments to build and deploy open source solutions.

The company offers seven pre-programmed stacks integrating over 50 open source components in six programming languages, which includes add-on functional features designed for faster implementation and easy application management.

SpikeSource has automated the complex process of stack testing, and uses over 22,000 tests running across six operating system platforms to validate each and every component patch, ensuring that all interoperability issues are identified. “The goal is to evaluate guarantee interoperability of opens source software with existing software components for enterprises,” say Murugan Pal, Founder and CTO of SpikeSource.

Though many organizations use the open source, they do not know how to evaluate what is the right type of software for their type of requirement. To tackle the same, SpikeSource recently announced a co-sponsor initiative— Business Readiness Rating along with Intel, Carnegie Mellon University and O’Reilly Network, to evaluate the readiness rating of different software primarily applied to open source for internal usage.

Two big customer wins for SpikeSource includes Fidelity Investments and Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein - a European investment bank.
