When we think of innovation, what comes to mind first is technology or product innovation. While that is one major source, it does not cover the entire scope of innovation. At Ittiam, we believe innovation must bring competitive advantage and business impact, and for that to happen, it has to be “holistic” across the organization functions – Talent Management, Product Conception, Development, Market Positioning, Business Model, Sales and Customer Support. It is the combination of all these that has helped us in having a global footprint of customers and market segments within a short span of five years.

Although it is not easy to innovate on multiple dimensions, it must be a priority. If market positioning is to have the most differentiated product and R&D is to achieve breakthrough performance, how can they happen without innovation to attract and retain world class talent? People who have the successful track-record of innovation and young people who have the immense potential for creating new benchmarks will combine to achieve holistic innovation. The market knowledge and foresight of the experienced management team in Ittiam enabled us to start with right product decisions and the full innovation engine got running with people across the board.

Indian technology industry gains the edge through its leaders. They can create a huge impact through innovation not only in new technologies and products, but also in people who create them, strategy that takes them to market and customer wins that make everything finally count.
