Computer scientist Dr. Prasad Bhaarat Ram will be leading the engineering and site operations among Google's first global engineering offices in Bangalore. Prior to this Dr Ram was Chief Technology Office at Yahoo! India, Research and Development.
According to the company, the appointment underscores Google's continued investment in India and commitment to its world-class Research and Development Center.
As a lover of innovation and creativity, Dr Ram deems this as a great place to work in. "By building on the already strong talent that exists at Google Bangalore, the center will continue to build innovative global products as well as to bring new ideas to better serve our Indian users," he explains.
With over 15 years experience in computer science research and engineering, Dr Ram will be heading production innovation at the center. He started his started his career as a research scientist at Xerox PARC and has worked extensively in software and online industries.
