In a bid to expand and strengthen its presence in sub continental Asia, Middle East and Africa, Yahoo! India has appointed Arun Tadanki as its Managing Director. Based in Delhi, he will be responsible for continuing the momentum of Yahoo! India and its industry leading properties like Mail, Movies, Messenger, News and Cricket. In addition, Tadanki will pilot Yahoo!’s business in the larger Indian subcontinent, Middle East and Africa towards stronger growth. A graduate from IIT, Madras and an MBA from IIM-A, Tadanki has held key positions at Nestle, JobsAhead.com and recently as the President – APAC & Middle East at Monster.com “Every day, millions of consumers across India and the region use Yahoo! to keep updated of what is going on in the world, communicate with their friends and indulge in their passions. It is an incredibly exciting time to join Yahoo! and I look forward to working with the team to take one of the world’s most loved brands to even greater heights,” said Tadanki, while talking about his appointments. Tadanki’s appointment ends the long-term search for an MD after George Zacharias left Yahoo! in 2007 to pursue his interests.
