Xiaomi Redmi Note: Everything You Wanted To Know

# Hardware Specifications

The Redmi note comes with a MediaTek octa-core processor clocking a speed of 1.7 GHz along with a 2GB of RAM. On the storage front, it comes with an 8GB of internal memory which can be expanded up to 32 GB with a microSD card. The phone is powered by a 3100 mAh battery and comes with connectivity options like 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The phone runs MIUI 5, a customized version of Android. The software is based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and the interface looks completely different compared to the other Android phones.

Similarly, the 4G version of the phone comes with nearly same specifications, but is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor instead of the Mediatek on the Redmi note and is also a single sim phone. The 4G version of the Redmi Note runs MIUI 5 on the Android 4.4 KitKat.

# Camera

The Xiaomi Redmi Note features a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera too. The camera at the back supports full HD video recording and front one supports 720p.

The pictures clicked at the launch event on the rear camera were decent with no shutter lag and the Camera app is the same as the one on the Mi 3.

# Verdict

There is no doubt that there is no other phablet in the market which is better than the Redmi Note in hardware specifications with its price range. The phone has a powerful processor, good camera and 4G model is the cheapest when compared to other 4G phones. But as a competitor to the phone, Asus Zenfone is the ultimate one with good specifications and costs the same.
