Which Devices Will Receive The First Android 5.0 Lollipop Update?


# Moto X (1st and 2nd version)

The second generation Moto X improves with a higher quality design and a metal frame along with the improved internal specifications like the quad-core processor and a Full HD display. The second generation Moto X has a design similar to the previous model with a curved rear, but now features an aluminium frame, a front-facing mono speaker and a set of motion sensors.

Its internal hardware was also upgraded to a 5.2 inch Super AMOLED pentile display and features a 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with a 2 GB of RAM. On the camera front, it has a 13-megapixel rear camera with support for recording 4K resolution video and has a storage capacity of 16 or 32 GB as the internal one.

The 13-megapixel rear-facing camera is encircled with a clear ring that houses its pair of LED flashes. The ring generates light refraction, which is intended to improve flash performance.

# Moto G (1st and 2nd Generation)

Moto G 1st generation features a 4.5-inch 720p HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection where the 2nd generation one comes with a 5-inch screen with the same resolution. Under the hood it packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with Adreno 305 GPU along with 1GB RAM to offer enhanced graphics and smooth navigation.

On the camera front, the older one came with a 5 mega pixel rear snapper and a 1.3 mega pixel front shooter. On the other hand, the newer 2nd generation one comes with a 8 mega pixel rear snapper and a 2 mega pixel front facing one. The 2nd generation Moto G also comes with an expandable memory option where as the older one did not come with one and had fixed memories on it.
