#7. Stuart Hughes iPad 2 Gold History Edition

Cost: $5 million

The iPad 2 Gold History Edition is probably the most unique gadget on this list. Encrusted with 12.5 carats of flawless diamonds, a magnificent total of 53 individually set sparkling gems dwell beautifully in solid 24 carat Apple logo with rear section formed again in 24 carat gold weighing an immense 2,000 grams. The front frame is made using Ammolite, the oldest rock in the world, dating as many as 75 million years back. To make this masterpiece more unique, sections of a 65 million year old T-REX Dinosaur’s thigh bone was splintered and then shaved into the Ammolite, and then finished off with a ultimate jewel as single cut 8.5 carat flawless diamond inlaid in its own platinum with 12 outer flawless diamonds. Priced at $5 million, only two units of this iPad 2 Gold History Edition has been made by the designer Stuart Hughes.

#8. The Stuart Hughes Black Diamond iPhone 5

Cost: $10 million

A Chinese businessman, owner of the black diamond contacted Stuart Hughes and commissioned this handset. Hughes, known widely for designing luxury Apple devices, then created the most expensive iPhone 5 ever. Embedded with a rare black diamond covered in precious metals and encrusted with rare stones, it has about 135 grams of 24 carat gold and a sapphire glass set in the screen. The back also has the Apple logo of 53 flawless diamonds. It took nine weeks to re-create the structure of the iPhone 5 in solid gold, and the complete handset was finished by hand. The single, flawless, deep cut black diamond weighs 26 carat and aptly replaces the home button of the smartphone.
