Developed by Valve Corporation, Half Life 2 was initially released on November 16, 2004 for Mac.

Like its predecessors, Half Life 2 is also a single-player first-person shooter broken into several chapters, permanently casting the player as the protagonist Gordon Freeman. In the sequel everything is same except better graphic and newer Source engine.

It has been admired for its advanced physics, animation, sound, AI, graphics, and narrative. It won 39 "Game of the Year" awards and the title of "Game Of The Decade" at the 2012 Spike Video Game Awards.

About 6.5 million copies of the sequel were sold at retail and by 2011 12 million copies were sold. The price of Half Life 2 is 9.99 dollars at Steam game store.
