Tablet World: Future Trends to Watch Out

Wearable Tablets in Future?

The gadget world never sleeps is not a myth but a reality. In every corner of the world there is some developer trying to figure out something out of the box for the next gadget. Tablets are no different. The world of tablets has seen a lot changes in its few years of existence. We have the hybrid phablets- a smartphone and a tablet together, to ultra slim and lightweight tablets.

So why not think out of the box and come up with tablets that can be woren. This does sound like a gadget out of a superhero movie, but you would be surprised to know that while you are reading this, there are people working on this idea.

"We should think beyond just the touch-screen device," said Lin Zhong, a professor at Rice University who does research on mobile systems. "Why do we have to hold tablets, carry many displays? We should think about wearable computers."

Google Glass is one such wearable device project that is being developed. Google Glass is a stamped size electronic screen that one can fix to their glasses and record videos, check your e-mails and browse the net.  Microsoft not wanting to be left behind is also working on a 3D camera that would make images pop up when a person call. And after the success of Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung is looking at developing a bendable, transparent 3D smartphone and they have already developed a video about how the phone would be.
