Samsung Galaxy Alpha Vs Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Which Is a Better Show Stealer?

# Screens

The Alpha and the Z3 Compact have screens with 720P resolutions. The Sony phone comes with a 4.6-inch screen while the Alpha has a 4.7-inch screen. This slightly bigger screen also makes the Alpha marginal taller and broader than the Z3 Compact.

The quality of displays on both devices is very good. The Alpha uses Super AMOLED display which displays vibrant and rich colors. Simultaneously, the Z3 Compact shows muffled colors. Both screens are sharp enough to show texts and in brightness, the two phones have slightly low brightness levels. The Sun light legibility is not as clear as an iPhone or an HTC.

# Camera

The Galaxy Alpha has a 12-megapixel shooter at the back while the Z3 Compact takes images with its 20-megapixel image sensor.

With the default settings on the Samsung Alpha, we found that the phone clicked sharper images in low light. But when picture detailing is considered, we noticed that the Z3 Compact images were sharper and has a good front camera too. But the Alpha manages to get some pictures with better contrast.

On the video recording, the Z3 Compact is ahead of the Alpha with the difference being not much and the camera app is also better and simpler to use on the Alpha.
