OG Gains the DOTA 2 Throne at Manila Major

OG vs MVP Phoenix: With two tank heroes Miracle’s Morphling and NoTail’s Dragon Knight and the support from Fly’s Shadow Priest made it very difficult for team MVP Phoenix to win the first slot. In the second slot Sun Ray from Fly’s Phoenix with the combo including stuns from the Elder Titan, Sven and the Faceless Void’s Chronosphere sent every hero of MVP Phoenix to Respawn. With this OG won both the rounds, sending MVP Phoenix to home.

OG vs Newbee: Although Miracle taking first blood out of the team Newbee’s carry hero ‘Death Prophet’, team Newbee won the first round by continuously using Smoke of deceit and Slardar stunning team OG with an infested Lifestealer. In the next round Newbee’s were hailed with bounties by winning team fights one after the other. But when the map clock ticked to 18:10 minutes Batrider Shackled Phoenix and stacked Napalm over Newbee team, and with it entered Earth spirit stunning enemies with a Boulder Smash and magnetizing them. With this come back OG turned the odds towards them. OG taking no risk in the third round won the match leading the way from the start with a Triple kill by Moon on Beastmaster.

OG vs Team Liquid: Team Liquid entered the finals after defeating Newbee in the Lower bracket to compete with OG. With four matches to get the 1.1 Mn price pool, Team Liquid suppressed OG with two kills within 17 seconds into the game by picking Ursa, Timbersaw and Slardar. OG lost the first match as they could not defend the Agies of Immortality from Ursa, in account of which all the attacks were concentrated on OG’s carry hero Alchemist. In the second match on the side of Dire OG ganked the mid-lane to get the First Blood, and this time OG took the Agies of Immortality from Roshan and found the victory over Radiant. The third match was completely on the side of team OG (match length of 41:36 minutes) with commentators saying, “No supports! Just throw the spells anyway and collect your bounties.”

The final round starts with a gank on Moon’s Batrider where Moon juked out safely to the bottom first tower, and on the other side Miracle’s Templar Assassin constantly killed the jungling Enchantress buying some gold and experience. With Wraith King leading the whole team OG stole the Manila Major Championship from Team Liquid.

OG is the first team to win two major Dota Championships. As the International 2016 tournament is to be hosted in Seattle with current prize pool of $12,009,543 USD, let us see what new things OG will bring.
