Guidelines To Secure Your Phone From Being Stolen

#3.Windows Phones: Windows Phones have an anti theft feature called ‘Find my phone’ too. It locates the phone and helps take a print out of the location. This can be done by accessing the WindowsPhone.com website and logging into the account with the same Windows Live ID used on Smartphones. You can make your phone ring, lock it with a password and wipe out all the data on the phone from your browser itself.

#4.Blackberry Phones: The anti theft software from Blackberry is called ‘Blackberry protect’. This app is set up with a Blackberry account, which it automatically backs up all the contacts and calendar entries too. Similar to all the other Smartphones you can locate the device on the Blackberry protect website with locking or erasing the data from the website. Upto seven devices can be managed on a single account.

#5.Windows laptops: Similar to phones, laptops too have anti theft software. The software ‘Lalarm’ which is free for personal use, alerts the user by raising an alarm if the power cord is disconnected or the pen drive connected to the laptop is taken when the Windows screen is locked. If you are looking for different software, consider ‘LocateMyLaptop’, free software which helps you track the laptop using Google maps.
