Google Nexus 7 Unveiled, Packs Better Specs, New Android 4.3


The hardware makes the device 80 percent faster and its graphics functions up by 400 percent than older version, according to Hugo Barra, vice-president of Android product management.

And it comes with 2 GB RAM, unlike old nexus, which has 1 GB RAM. There is bump in camera too; it has 5 MP rear shooter and 1.2 MP front, where as the older version had only 1.2 MP front shooter.

The 16 GB model will cost $229; the 32GB model will come in at $269; LTE and 3G versions may cost higher.

Google has not yet confirmed the launch of new Nexus 7 in India, but it will be made available from retailers like RadioShack, Walmart, Amazon, and Best Buy as of July 30th. Other countries, including the UK, Germany, Japan, Canada, Spain, France, Australia, and South Korea will get the tablet in the coming weeks, reports The Verge.
