En Route To India: Smartphones Heading Its Way To Stores


Microsoft 640 # Microsoft Lumia 640 and 640 XL

Microsoft’s new Lumia series phones, the 640 and 640 XL will also be in the sack of phones that are ready to hit Indian shelves. The Lumia 640 features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and runs on the most recent version of the Windows operating system with the Denim Update. 

The hardware on the phone consists of a QUALCOMM Snapdragon Quad core processor with a speed of 1.2GHz supported by a 1GB of RAM. Pictures can be taken with an 8 mega pixel rear camera with a 1mega pixel shooter in the front.

The internal memory on the 640 is 8GB which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card. A 2600 mAh battery charges the phone providing a talk time of 26 hours on it.

Then again, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is wrapped up with a 5.7inch screen, a 13 mega pixel rear camera and 4G.  The Smartphone will also come with a one-year subscription to Office 365 and the Windows 8.1 OS which can be upgradeable to Windows 10 when it gets out.

# Lenovo A7000

The latest addition to the A-series from Lenovo is the A7000 which will be the first phone to feature Dolby ATMOS surround sound on it.

The phone carries in a pretty nifty hardware package with a Mediatek Octa-core processor clocking a speed of 1.5GHz backed up by a 2GB of RAM.

The rear camera is an 8 mega pixel one with a 5 mega pixel front facing snapper too. On the storage front, the A7000 comes with an 8GB of internal memory which is expandable up to 32GB and the phone is powered by a 2900 mAh battery offering a talk time of 39 hours.
