Asus Unveils PadFone Infinity With 2.2 GHz Processor

The latter change seems a cost-cutting measure that is partially offset by the microSD card slot and the generous amounts of cloud storage that Asus throws in as a perk. One final change is an upgrade in the memory department, which is now 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM. The device runs Android 4.2.2 out of box.

The device comes with 13 MP primary camera, but this time it packs a new technology similar to Nokia PureView called PixelMaster which combines multiple pixels into one and project sharper and cleaner image quality.

The new device features a nicer “diamond-cut” metallic body, compared to the brushed metal texture before, and is available in black and white. However the tablet dock remains virtually unchanged.

The smartphone will go on sale in Taiwan for the equivalent of $640 off-contract, while the tablet dock costs about $240. There is no news yet on the availability of the new PadFone Infinity in Taipei, its home market and the rest of the world.
