3.  iPad 2 With Wi-Fi

The iPad 2 which is Wi-Fi enabled also comes equipped with a Samsung part. The iPad 2 is powered by 1 GHz A5 dual core processor with a 200 MHZ bus and backed by 512 MB RAM. This RAM is yet another example of how dependent Apple is on Samsung for its components. This RAM is manufactured by Samsung.

Apple has been trying to reduce their dependence on Samsung for internal components. There have been many instances where in at the time of the launch of a device the number of gadgets in the market falls short because of a fall in the supply of components from Samsung. The fall in supply of gadgets when they are newly released in the market leads to a commotion and unrest among the consumers.

Right now Samsung’s main competitors in supplying memory chips to Apple are mainly Toshiba Corp and Korea rivals SK Hynix and in the area of flat screen panels, LG is their main competitor.
