Android 5.0 Lollipop: What's New?

# Improved Notifications/ Do Not Disturb

The lock screen displays classier notifications on the Android 5.0 Lollipop where the users can view and respond to messages directly from the lock screen. Google literally has gone ahead with notifications and included rich floating descriptive notifications on top of your activity, which allows the users to view or dismiss any notifications without moving away from a task.

The overall control for Notifications has been provided by Google earlier. The users will be able to get a hold of the notifications, where they get to choose if they have to hide sensitive content and apart from prioritizing or turning it off. The Android 5.0 Lollipop users can also turn on 'Priority mode' with the device's volume button and allow notifications or apps from certain people.

The users can schedule it when Priority mode turns on. The feature also works as a Do Not Disturb mode as seen in Apple's iOS which allows you to silence notifications and calls on the Android devices.
