Amazon Introduces Fire Phone


The much talked about and the unique feature on the phone is the ‘Firefly’, which has a dedicated button for it. It allows the user to identify phone numbers, email addresses with the printed text on the posters, magazines and business cards allowing you to access their web sites. Secondly, the movies and TV episodes can be recognized with displaying the actor’s details through IMDB with the help of its camera. This is not all, the phone can recognize music and access the information on the artist and download them. The firefly also recognizes household items, CDs, DVDs and many more allowing the users to directly access the product details and order it from the Amazon store directly or add it to the wish list with an Amazon account. Amazon gets its ‘Mayday’ service on the Fire phone, a service which offers technological help to the users.

The Fire phone is priced at $199(over 11,500) for the 32GB, $299 (over 17,500) with a two-year contract from AT&T or $650( over 38500) without the contract and is available for pre-order on the Amazon.com which only starts shipping by July 25th 2014.
