Xiaomi Mi5 Rumors: Wireless Charging, Fingerprint And More

BENGALURU: Chinese Smartphone maker, Xiaomi, is rumored to launch its Mi5 tomorrow. The company posted teasers across social media about their upcoming product. However, they did not mention anything about what the product actually is, reports BGR India.

Xiaomi Mi5 is being said to be the trendsetter phone for mid-range segment as it is speculated to come with a fingerprint sensor as well as wireless charging. Looking at Xiaomi’s history, the company launched Mi4 in the month of July last year and they may unveil Mi5 in this month itself.

While wireless charging is a feature that belongs to the high-end segment Smartphones, the new phone may take away slight percentage of Samsung’s as well as Apple’s market share. Xiaomi may also launch another Smartphone along with Mi5, the Mi5 Plus, which will be costlier than Mi5.

The Mi5 may come with a 5.2-inch display screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset along with 4GB of RAM. The new phone is rumored to come in two models with different storage space such as: 16GB and 64GB. Just like the other Smartphones with similar specifications, Mi5 may come with 16MP rear and 8MP front camera.
