Xiaomi Mi4 Successor Mi5 To Sport Finger Print Scanner Technology


BANGALORE: Xiaomi, the leading Chinese Smartphone maker seems to get its moves right by patenting its technology, which will make them independent or otherwise depending on other companies for their products, reports IndiaToday.

The fingerprint scanner technology which was first taken down by Apple for iPhones has raised the hopes of Xiaomi for its next flagship Mi5.

Apparently, the technology might be used on the home button as seen on the iPhones and other resemblance between the two is an additional glass layer on the home button. Even Apple has put in sapphire glass to the home button to secure the technology inside.

At present none of the Xiaomi devices have the finger print scanner and getting it in its next set of devices can raise its sales as the fans are expected to be excited of the idea.

The Mi5 which is reported to be the next flagship from the company is expected to sport a 5.2 inch qHD screen and pixel density of 560 ppi. It might also be powered by a 2.7 GHz quad core Snapdragon 805 processor with a 3GB RAM. An Internal storage of 16/32 GB with 16 MP camera at the rear, 8 MP at front and a 3600mAh battery is to power all these operations.
