Bangalore: NOVO7 is better than all the affordable Android Tablets which are presently available in the market and is much superior to the entire 2011crop. NOVO7 runs on the latest version of Google’s Android 4.0-Ice Cream Sandwich- and comes with an affordable price tag of 2,999.

One special this about NOVO7 is, it is smaller than iPad. NOVO7’s screen measures only 7inches while iPad 2’s screen measures 9.7inches. NOVO7 also has high-end touchscreens and comes with a MIPS architecture Ingenic XBurst JZ4770 CPU running at 1GHz, a Vivante GC860 GPU and VPU.

The NOVO7 Basic features; front (0.3 MP) and rear (2.0 MP) cameras, HDMI port capable of outputting 1080p video, 5-point multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with an 800-pixel-by-480-pixel resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio, an SD card slot, system memory of 512MB and onboard storage of 8GB, and there is no GPS hardware. The version without camera and HDMI port costs much lesser.

The era of cheap, high quality Android tablet seems promising with this NOVO7. Even though there are some improvements needed in this device in terms of the web surfing quality, a replacement with Intel chip and more ports for connectivity, but all together it looks like a good package.
