Sony to Unveil Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium on Oct 21




BANGALORE: Sony has sent out media invites for the unveiling of their flagship Smartphone in the country. The Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium handsets are scheduled to be launched on October 21, reports Tech2.

This time, Sony takes the competition to a next level, as the Xperia Z5 Premium that sports a 5.5-inch, 4K Triluminos display. The Xperia Z5 Premium’s screen packs in a brilliant 806 pixels per inch and it is the first Smartphone to flaunt 4K resolution display.

Sony has many competitions in the market such as Apple’s iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Nexus 6P and many others. According the claims of Sony, the Xperia Z5 Premium will upscale images and full HD videos to 4K resolution delivering the best mobile media experience.

In spite of boasting an impressive 4K display, Sony claims that the device will last for ‘2-days’ with full charge as it comes equipped with a 3,430mAh battery. The buyers get color options like Chrome, Gold and Black. The price of the new device will be announced in November when it is made available for consumers. Both the Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium will come with single SIM and dual SIM variants that will support 4G LTE connectivity.

On other hand, the Xperia Z5 sports a 5.2-inch full HD Triluminos display along with that it is powered by same processor and RAM as the existing Xperia Z3+. However, the firm promises that the new phones will deliver better Smartphone experience than their existing devices. The Xperia Z5 and Z5 Premium will come with an option to expand the memory through microSD card slot up to 200GB.
