Samsung Is Gearing Up To Unveil Its Ultra Thin Galaxy A7

BENGALURU: The ultrathin Samsung Galaxy A7 gets closer to launch.

Having received the official approval from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Samsung has also got the approval from Chinese certification agency TENAA.

As per the innumerable rumors about the Samsung Galaxy A7, it does seem to be the thinnest model ever.  According to TENAA, the Galaxy A7 measures 150.9x75.9x6.3mm, this implies that the phone is a half millimeter thinner than Samsung Galaxy Alpha. At 6.3mm, the Galaxy A7 is slightly slimmer than the 6.7mm thin Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy A5—which are currently the thinnest in Samsung’s offerings. The TENAA device listing also mentions the screen size as 5.5-inch with 1920x1080p resolution, in line with the leaks from GFXBench and FCC.

As per Phone Arena, which was the first to release information about Galaxy A7, the phone is said to run Android’s Kitkat 4.4.4.

Samsung Galaxy A7 will be powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, which packs an octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. This Android Smartphone has 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and is expected to sport a 12MP primary camera 5MP secondary camera.

However, one has to wait to find out if this rumored phone would have the all-metal uni-body design element introduced with the A3 and A5. Also, there is no clear information which says that the model will be exclusive to China.
