Samsung, Google to Make 10 inch Nexus Tablet

Bangalore: Internet search giant Google has reportedly partnered with Samsung and are planning to release their first 10 inch Nexus tablet.

According to CNET, Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch said that the 10.1 inch tablet will boast a pixel density that is higher than Apple's third-generation iPad. "They'll partner with Samsung and co-brand it with Samsung.

The Google’s upcoming tablet will boost a resolution of 2,560 X 1,600 pixels which is 299 pixels per inch on a 10.1 inch display. While the new iPad features a 9.7 inch display at a resolution of 2,048 X 1,536 pixels which is 264 pixels per inch.

Samsung already worked with Google for two Nexus smartphones; Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. Now the Google’s co-branded tablet with Samsung will significantly increase the relationship of both the companies.

Analyst says that the upcoming co-branded Nexus tablet will be a high end device, which means the 10 inch Nexus will directly compete with the Apple New iPad.
