Samsung Gears Up to Launch Next Budget 'Galaxy C' Series Smartphones


BENGALURU: Global Smartphone manufacturers are addressing mid to small range phone consumers by introducing low-end special editions of their premium Smartphones in the Indian market. While that is taking place Samsung on the other hand is preparing to introduce its forth mid-low Smartphone series Galaxy C in upcoming days in China first and later in India, reports by TOI Tech.

Samsung’s next affordable range phones are expected to come with 5.2 inch display and priced around 11,500. As per the benchmark tests reported by Telefoobabonnement, Galaxy C series phone will comprise an octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC clocking at 1.5GHz, the Adreno 405 GPU and, a 4GB RAM running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

The Korean giant has already launched few budget phones like Galaxy A, Galaxy E, and Galaxy J and it rapidly wants to enhance its range of Smartphone offerings. According to the reports, Galaxy C series will include C5 and C7 variant at first, which the company will release for the Chinese market in May followed by India.

The companies like Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo, and OPPO have given tough competition to Samsung in the Smartphone arena in last few years which has affected the sales of Samsung’s Smartphones in China as well as India. To stay alive in this thwart competition, Samsung planned to introduce an affordable Smartphone range. One of its efforts is Galaxy J3 which Samsung came up with recently in India, at an attractive price of 8,990. J3 packs 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and 8 GB ROM. It offers a 5 inch HD display and unique 'S bike mode' feature that mutes the Smartphone while driving.

We have to wait and see what new features Samsung will bring with its latest Galaxy C Smartphone series in India.
