Samsung Galaxy S4's "Eye Scroll" Will Read Your Eyes
Bangalore: 1080 x 1920 pixel ratio for a 4.99 inch screen with cornering Gorilla glass 2; 13 MP Autofocus primary camera with LED flash and a humble 2.1 MP cam for video conferencing. Inside the case is a Li-Ion 2600 mAh battery and an eight-core Exynos processor, a separate eight-core graphics processing unit and yes you read it correctly the first time – an eight-core Exynos processor is what the S4 is rumored to be packing.
That was the hardware and the software is the latest of the best available today – Android 4.2 Jellybean. But the nut breaking revelation came from The New York Times yesterday; “The phone will track a user’s eyes to determine where to scroll, said a Samsung employee.” Galaxy S4 will track you while you are tracking words on it. Spooky! The screen will supposedly scroll down when you are reading the final words on the page. Just when you think of going to the next page, the phone will do it for you. Samsung in January filed for a trademark in Europe for the name “Eye Scroll.” It filed for the “Samsung Eye Scroll” trademark in the United States in February for the above mentioned feature. The Smartphone manufacturer has also filed for the trademark “Eye Pause,” without describing what the feature does.
Samsung is finally taking steps to break the fortune cookie. But the truth will only be uncovered once the ever so awaited Galaxy S4 is released.
