Rumors of NextGen iPad & iPhones Raises the Excitement Level

BENGALURU: With Apple set to release its next generation of iPads in 2017, reputed Apple analyst Ming-Chi-Kuo of KGI security in a statement said that the phone maker may release as many as three versions of the device.

According to Kuo, the lower end model - with a screen size of 9.7 inch - will be powered by TSMC’s A9X processor, whereas, the middle and the high end models with screen size of 10.5 inch and 12.9 inch respectively – will be powered by TSMC’s A10X SoC. Although there are no major design changes in these new editions, Kuo asks everyone to expect a surprise from Apple in the form of flexible Amoled displays. Although nothing has been confirmed by Apple itself, this information from a top analyst seems to have increased the excitement levels among the Apple fanatics. But it’s not until at least 2018 folks!

Kuo has also spoken about the iPhone 7 models which are rumored to be releasing sometime before the end of this year and the iPhone 8, with a new design, to come much, much later. While the iPhone 7 will come out in three models, with the iPhone7 pro being the flagship device, fans are rather looking forward to the release of its successor. The iPhone 8 is rumored to have an OLED edgeless display, with the power button as a part of the display itself rather than a physical portion as it is with the current models.
