Optimist Steve Wozniak Changes his Stance on Dropping the Headphone Jack in iPhone 7

BENGALURU: With a fuss of iPhone 7 Airpods buzzing around, Apple’s Co-Founder Steve Wozniak previously commented that excluding the headphone jack will annoy some users. Now, changing his opinion, Wozniak states that ditching the jack and incorporating a Lightening Connector was the company’s best move. In an interview with the TechRadar, he also advised the users to buy an adapter that converts the Lightening port to a normal 3.5mm headphone jack.

Tagged with a price of $159 and endowed with state-of-the-art performance, the Airpods are available in a wireless-charging case. On a single charge, the case offers a battery life that lasts about five hours. Furthermore, the Airpods are built with a touch sensitive back, enabling users to tap on the headphone’s back to activate and interact with Siri using the built-in microphone. When it comes to connectivity, the Airpods connect automatically with all Apple devices. They are also integrated with the ability to connect simultaneously with the phone as well as the Apple Watch, switching sound instantly between the connected devices. As the Airpods are easy to lose, keeping them safely in the case after its usage is always recommended.

Previously, in a similar fashion, the Apple Watch was also censured by Wozniak; declaring it as a fashionable product. Now, he effectively admires the watch. "I've come to like my Apple Watch more.... I actually forgot to wear it today and I want to use it just for seeing the time, if nothing else. I use it enough in my life for things...I enjoy using it and having it. And when I don't use it, I don't even know it's there," says Steve.
