Oppo Launches R5s With Improved Specs




BANGALORE: Oppo introduced an upgraded variant of its well known super-slim R5 handset and it will be called ‘R5s’. Furthermore, company’s R7 Plus Smartphone will go on sale in limited markets, reports NDTV.

The newly launched R5s is only listed in the company’s European website at 199 euros. The website also gives away the official word on worldwide release on August 25. By the conversion value, R5s will cost around 15,000 in the Indian market.

The highlight of the new Oppo R5s is the same slim body as its predecessor – R5 with 4.85mm thickness with much powerful specs. The R5s sports 3GB RAM and comes with 32GB inbuilt memory.

The new R5s features almost similar specs from R5 expect RAM and inbuilt storage. The phone flaunts 5.2-inch full HD AMOLED display with pixel density of 423ppi. It runs on a same 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 2.1GHz quad-core and 1.5GHz quad-core with Adreno 405 GPU.

The novel R5s comes with a 13MP rear camera with a LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The phone sports company’s own UI ColorOS 2.0.1 built on Android 4.4 Kitkat. It draws its charge from a 2000mAh battery and it supports VOOC charging; according to the company, the battery charges from 0 to 75 percent within 30 minutes. The phone supports Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, 4G, and Micro-USB for connectivity.
