OnePlus One Goes Invite-less, OnePlus 2 Arriving Soon

BANGALORE: The Chinese Startup, OnePlus, stunned the mobile world with its debut Smartphone featuring Cyanogen on the Android OS. Initially, if you wanted to have this phone, you required the invite from someone who has already purchased the ‘One’. From this week onwards, OnePlus One will be available without an invite on Amazon.in, reports TheMobileIndian.

The invite are not required for both the 64 GB Sandstone Black and 16GB Silk White variants to purchase. To add the excitement, OnePlus has announced that, there will be a second generation Smartphone from the company. The OnePlus 2 will roll out in the third quarter of this year.

“This current shift from an invite system to a non-invite system is a big step, one from which we will learn a great deal before the OnePlus 2 launch, with invites, in the third quarter of this year," said, Carl Pei, co-founder and head of global OnePlus.

More offers to the buyers where the company declared a flat 50 percent discount on accessories of OnePlus. Which includes, JBL E1+ Earphones, OnePlus Flip Cover (White), OnePlus Premium Matte Screen Protector along with the purchase of the Smartphone and the offer will be valid till April 23, 2015.

According to GSM Arena, the upcoming OnePlus 2 will be a 4G Smartphone with similar 5.5-inch full HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection, Android Lollipop operating system, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor and 3 GB RAM.

The buyers will get the option of 16 GB and 64 GB storage without any expandable storage slot as its predecessor. The OnePlus 2 is said to sport a 16MP primary camera and a 5MP front-facing camera and a 3300 mAh battery.
