One Million Xiaomi Smartphones Sold In India

BANGALORE: Manu Kumar Jain, the Head of Xiaomi India affirmed that the Chinese brand had sold a million Smartphones in India within five months of its launch of the flagship device Mi3.  With this great success riding on their backs, the company has surpassed the milestone in India for this month, reports NDTV gadgets.

The Chinese manufacturer also known as China's Apple has a successful entry in India with its three models the Xiaomi Mi3, Xiaomi  Redmi 1S and the Xiaomi  Redmi Note.

Although the firm was initially ridiculed for having only an online flash sale outlet for selling its devices, it soon found adopters lining up for the Smartphone. The first flash sale of the Mi3 on Flipkart had its entire inventory of 10,000 units go out of stock within 40 minutes and the second sale went out of stock within 5 seconds.

Xiaomi released the Redmi 1S in India for a sub- 10,000 price and has had good sales since its first flash sale in September, with each having a better claim of success.

However, the most astonishing part was in October, where 1,00,000 Redmi 1S smartphones went out of stock in 4.2 seconds and the third Smartphone from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note going out of stock in 6 seconds on its first flash sale with 50,000 units .
