Nokia Releases An Android Launcher

BANGALORE: Nokia Technologies, the software division of Nokia has released an Android launcher called the Z launcher. It brings all the frequently used apps, contacts and sites to be quickly accessed by the user on the home screen, reports India today.in.

The Z launcher is a personalized app, which allows one to write instead of typing and the user gets to write the first letter of the app or the contact to easily find it. It provides a list of 6 apps, which changes according to the locations, call history of the user and time changes of the day. The launcher does not support any of the widgets and has only a clock and a calendar.

The launcher has been designed in such a way to provide a clutter- free experience and to find the apps and contacts when the user needs it. Opening the app directly takes the user to the home screen of the phone where they get to customize them beyond the pre installed ones.

The Nokia’s launcher joins the range of other personalized Android launchers on Google play store. It is not yet available on the Google play store and is only accessible on the website www.zlauncher.com.
