Nikon Unveils Entry-Level D5200 DSLR Camera


Bangalore: Nikon has recently launched a new digital SLR camera called D5200 in India. With this camera the company is targeting the entry-level customers.

The D5200 is a compact and lightweight DSLR camera but packed with advanced features like new DX-format CMOS image sensor with 24.1 mega pixel and EXPEED 3 image processing engine.

 “The announcement is a testimony to Nikon’s leadership in the D-SLR category. We have specifically designed this new D-SLR to provide users with excellent performance that can be achieved by other higher-end models. With this launch, the consumers will now be able to capture highly flexible image expression, and reliability that ensures beautiful pictures.” said Hiroshi Takashina, MD, Nikon India.

The camera also features 3 inch vari-angle LCD screen, 39-point focus, pop up flash, scene recognition system, full-HD 1080p video recording and Wireless Mobile Adapter WU-1a (Wi-Fi).

The camera weighs approx 555 grams and available in three colors; black, red and bronze. The Nikon D5200 with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR kit lens is priced at 46,950 and will hit the stores from December.
