Nexus 8 Powered by Android 4.5 To Be Release in July

BANGALORE: The next upgrade of Google’s Android mobile operating system is likely to come in July 2014. The Android version 4.5 is yet to be named and the launcing event of the upgrade may also witness the launch of a new tablet, Nexus 8 as reported by TOI.

The sources reported that the internet giant is transitioning to 8-inch tablets as 7-inch tablet segment is facing stringent competition.

Early rumors regarding the same said that the 8-inch Android tablet would be available for purchase by April 2014, and over 2 million units were already ready to ship out. The previous report suggests that Asus will also manufacture the new Nexus 8 tablet, which was the manufacturer of Nexus 7.

Android 4.5 powered Nexus 8 will face challenges from products like iPad mini, Galaxy Tab and G Pad from rival players Apple, Samsung and LG respectively.
