MotoG 8GB Version At 12499: Will It Be The Game Changer?


Bangalore: Motorola mobility has launched Moto G as per schedule despite being acquired by Lenovo, the Chinese electronics giant. The 8 GB version of MotoG costs you 12499 while the 16GB variant is priced at 13,999. This newly launched device sports rear panels that are changeable in different colours. The dual SIM phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor that cloaks 1.2 GHz. An entire gigabyte of RAM is provided to facilitate faster functioning. The Smartphone runs on Android 4.3 platform which is upgradeable to Android 4.4 (KitKat) version.

The phablet is studded with a 5MP rear camera that has a LED flash and a 1.3MP front camera. It has got a 4.5-inch LCD touch screen edge-to-edge display. Screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels is supported by Adreno 305 graphics card. On connectivity front it allows you to access via WiFi and Bluetooth. Reasonable battery backup can be expected with the 2070 mAh battery.

Moto G is expected to be a much sought after gadget as it has slick, waterproof body loaded with premium features like a great form factor which until now was available only with high end models. Latest version of Android which is expected to come with ‘guaranteed upgrade’ despite being no longer associated with Google, is also driving people towards it. Flipkart has got the exclusive rights to sell the device for the next 3 weeks. In the pre-booking offer launched on Snapdeal.com, it garnered 1,000 bookings in the first hour itself (booking amount was not charged).
