Micromax Launches the Micromax Bolt Selfie with 5-Megapixel Front Selfie Shooter

BENGALURU: Micromax has recently announced the launch of its next device in its latest ‘Bolt’ series—the Bolt Selfie, following in the footsteps of its preceding cousins the Bolt Supreme and the Bolt Supreme 2. The smartphone has already found itself listed on the company’s website, and the mobile giants have confirmed that they plan to launch the product as a Flipkart exclusive, available at a modest price of INR 4,999. The device will be available in White and Champagne color options.

The most differentiating feature of the Micromax Bolt Selfie smartphone lies in its 5-megapixel front camera with fixed focus. It also features a 5-megapixel rear camera equipped with LED flash. The device also bears support for 4G LTE.

The Micromax Bolt Selfie sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480x854 pixels) IPS display, has a dual-SIM card slot, and is powered by a Quad-core 1GHz MediaTek processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. The device is backed up by a 1750mAh removable battery that the company claims can provide talk time up to 18 hours and offer a standby time of 260 hours. The device also supports GPRS, 3G, EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, GPS and Bluetooth features.

Micromax also recently unveiled two other entry level 3G enabled Android devices in India last week—the Bolt Supreme, and the Bolt Supreme 2 with their pricing labeled at INR 2,749 and INR 2,999 respectively.

The Indian based smartphone manufacturer also lifted the lid on its new Canvas Evok device earlier this month, priced at INR 8,499, also going on sale exclusively via Flipkart.
