Micromax Launches Canvas Sliver 5 'World's Slimmest Smartphone'

BANGALORE: Micromax after the indigenous launch of Yu Yuphoria is back again with one another show stealer and this time it is from the Canvas series. Micromax Canvas Sliver 5, claimed to be the ‘world’s slimmest Smartphone’ end to end with a thickness of 5.1mm and weighing 97 grams is also probably the lightest, priced at 17999, reports TMI.

This is not the first time we have heard the word slimmest as companies like Oppo and Vivo had their share of introducing their slimmest models, but because of their protruding cameras they are not up to Micromax’s end to end criteria.

The latest Canvas Sliver 5 has a display of 4.8 inch with AMOLED display with a HD (1280X720) resolution. The Smartphone is equipped with the 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 processor and comes with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop operating system. Canvas Silver 5 has an internal storage of 16GB and the phone is supported by a  2GB RAM. The cameras are as 8 megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX219 and CMOS sensor and Blue glass filter and 5 megapixel shooter at the front.

With  a 2000 mAh battery Li-Po battery the phone offers  8 hours of talktime and 345 hours of standby, along with the other features which is the  inclusion of Dirac HD sound technology, that makes the phone offer surround sound, sound correction feature, and an advanced digital controller.
