MP3 Player Becomes 'Smart' with Android


Bangalore: Every gadget makers wants their products to have a ‘smart’ tag and this has made Cowon introduces a new Smart MP3 player named Z2 Plenue which runs on Android OS.

The device has all the Android functionality as a media player; it can browse web and access Android apps but can’t do voice calls. The device is powered with 1 GHz processor and a video processor that supports full HD and 3D graphics. It has 3.7 inch AMOLED display, comes with three storage variants and a micro SD card slot for expandable memory, HDMI output for file transferring, Wi-Fi connectivity for browsing web and is also equipped with a dictionary and a scientific calculator.

The company promises that the device provides superior playback and a realistic sound field. With its attractive design and slim factor it is priced at 18,500, 20,500 and 23,500 for 8 GB, 16 GB and 32 GB storage capacities models respectively.
